Hi all, I have several old obituaries which clippings were in the possession of my Clark cousins from Georgia. My keeping family history information they ended up with me. I do not know what paper this is from or what date however I do know this lady died in Dodge County on August 6, 1935. She must have been a friend of the Clark family. "MRS. T. J. KNIGHT PASSED TO REST TUESDAY A. M. BELOVED EASTMAN WOMAN DIED IN COLEMAN'S SANATORIUM OF PNEUMONIA FOLLOWING APPENDIX OPERATION Mrs. Cynthia Elizabeth Knight, wife of Mr. T. J. Knight, engineer on the W. & T. Railway, and one of Eastman's most useful and best-beloved women, died in Coleman's Sanatorium Tuesday morning at 6:30 o'clock of pneumonia, which developed following an appendix operation that was performed Saturday morning. Mrs. Knight had been in ill health several months of heart trouble and high blood presssure and had been under treatment in the Sanatorium a few weeks ago, recovering sufficiently to return to her home. Last week it was decided that an appendix operation was imperative and she was returned to the Sanatorium Friday afternoon. Pneumonia developed following the operation, and this, with the complications of other illness, resulted in death. She was a native of Johnsdon county, being a daughter of Mr. and Mres. Jack Brady of Wrightsville. Had she lived until the 18th of next month she would have been sicty-three years old. Her parents and eleven brothers and sisters preceded her to the grave, she being the last member of her immediate family. In girlhood she united with the Baptist church, of which she remained a faithful member until death. In 1890 she was married to Mr. T. J. Knight, and the family moved to Eastman twenty-eight years a__?(ago?), residing here since that time. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Mrs. Charles Wood of Harrison and C. E. Knight of Helena. Mrs. Knight was in many respects a most wonderful woman. Although of limited educational opportunities, she enjoyed a high appreciation of the artistic and beautiful, and ever strove to the attainment of the most curtural[sic] elements of life. She was naturally gifted in art, and largely through her own efforts developed a creditable[sic] ability in painting, leaving to her loved ones a number of lovely pictures wrought by her own hands. Her home, her yard and her flowers constituted a veritable passion, and to these she devoted an energy that was persistent and astounding. Of generous disposition and deep religious principles, she was ever faithful in every relation of life, devoted to her husband, her children and her home, spending her life in service to others, and never turning away empty-handed any one whom she had an opportunity to aid. hers was a life of beauty and service and its record is left a blessed benediction to the community in which she lived. Funeral services were conducted in the Eastman Baptist church Wednesday afternoon by Rev. J. S. Hartsfield, assisted by Rev. J. W. Hazelwood. "No Night There," "City Four Square" and "Abide With Me" were sung by Mrs. J. S. Hartsfield and Mrs. I. J. Parkerson, with Mrs. J. W. Peacock at the piano. Mike D. Burch, S. H. Goolsby, J. B. Parkerson, Lewis Parkerson, Zeb Hargrove and G. C. Rogers served as pall-bearers. Interment was in Woodlawn cemetery. J. W. Peacock Company, funeral directors. The following from out of town were attendants at the funeral: Dr. and Mrs. J. C. Maloy, Helena; Mrs. Howard Love, Atlanta; Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Knight, Macon; Mrs. Ed Stacks, Albany; Mr. and Mrs. Bob Sumner, Dublin; Mrs. Sam Swinson, Dublin; C. L. Bond married a Mrs. Flora I. Peacock 1886 in Dodge county. Her maiden name was Listch or Leitch. Per the 1880 Dodge county census it would seem that she is a daughter of Wm.
