It looks like both Thomas and Sarah's grave was done at the same time. Both have the same design and they look like they have "weathered" the same. I also tried to find them in 1910. My first thought is that the tombstone is an error, and the bible was recorded later, from the tombstones. I do have a picture of the tombstone, and it does clearly say 1890 (it is posted on my website). It seems to be an original. I don't know about this. Is there a mortality schedule for Dodge County in 1900 ?

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Ya.2ADI/829.1 Message Board Post: I check the Tad Evans Newspaper Clipping books for 1900-1920 and didn't find an orbit. You do have another mystery on your hands. If the death date was 1900, I would think that somehow the enumerter was confused and listed everyone ,including those who had died in the early part of the year, when the census was taken in June. But with the Bible also listing an 1890 deathdate, I can't explain it. If it was just the Cemetery Book that had an 1890 deathdate, I would assume that the date was a case of not reading the tombstone correctlty. What with time I'm sure that a lot of the names and dates are becoming hard to read. Which Sarah (Sabra) owned the Bible, mother or daughter? Looking at the images of the Bible posted at your website (which is a very nice one), the deaths don't seemed to have been recorded in order: J H 1878 Elander April 7 1890 Charlotte (Lottie) May 2 1886 Sara Driggers April 5, 1890 Is the birth and death date on the tombstone the orginal or was it added later (family buying new ones and using the info in the family Bible as the inscription.) I know that this is far fetched, but could the Sara Driggers, died April 5, 1890, be a young child of Sarah and T J Driggers (not the Sabra who 1882-1981) but another Sarah born 1875-1880. And if the tombstone was not the original: when it was replaced ---the correct birthdate was picked up from the family Bible, but the death date chosen was the death date of the child. Bernice

She is buired in Zion Hope Cemetery. According to her tombstone, and bible records, she died in 1890. However, I have found her very much alive in the 1900 Census of Dodge County, age 49. I cannot find Thomas or Sarah Driggers on the 1910 census. Thomas shows up on the 1920 census in Dodge County as a widow, living with his daughter, Mary Powell and her husband, William. Does anyone have the correct date for Sarah Driggers death? An obituary would probably help. Thanks!
