Susan M Cason was the daughter of Thomas Cason and Polly Parkerson. Originally from Dooly Cty, they moved to Wilcox Cty between 1870 and 1880. Thomas died/left home between 1860 and 1870. Can find nothing on him. Polly remarried Ben Moore in 1881 and had 2 sons: Eastman and Frank. I can find nothing on Susan's older brother Warren. Her younger brother, Thomas, mentioned in Susan's obit, married a Viola Peacock according to some old notes I found. Joe King

O. Dayton. (That census page is attached) There is a Mary Cason age 34, with six kids.; One is Suason (spelling on census) age 1yr and ??/12 ( can't make it out).. the next and youngest is Thermon age 4/12.. This is probably your Susan. Dooly Co was formed in 1821 and gave up land to Pulsaki Co several times (1826, 60, and 66) Then Dodge Co was formed in 1870 from land from Pulsaki and Telfair Counties.. Pulaski later gave up land to Dodge Co several more times (1872, 74, and 76) Also note that Susan named as son Warren (from obit) and the eldest child on this census is Warren age 8, so this susan had a brother named Warren.. Will look at 1880 census in a few.. wmharrell Also noted while I was lookiong at 1870 Ga Census that in Ware Co, P. O. Glenmore, there are a few Casons.. One house has a Susan M. age 23. (Possibly an Aunt??) There are two pages with five Cason families. The family with Susan has 13 children. First four are girls ages 29 to 23. Dont really know that these are children of the Head of House though.. Anyway I'll attach those two census pages on another message.. They might prove important later..

They migrated from Williamsburg District/County, SC to Telfair, Montgomery and Pulaski Counties in GA and subsequently on to SE Alabama where they spent the rest of their lives. Would like to hear from any interested researchers. Thanks.

Hello y'all, hope you're doing well? This afternoon while my grandfather was at the Dawg vs. Razorback game (Go Dawgs) I came across a picture of him taken about 1920 at "Uncle Jack" Fordham's farm. I did not ask Ray who Uncle Jack is/was because I want to take the picture & have enhanced with other old pictures for his Christmas present, but does anyone know who Uncle Jack Fordham is? The location is not given as far as city or county, but given Ray was only about two (is now 87) it would have to be either Dodge County or Lowndes. Dodge because his Mama grew-up there, Lowndes because Grand (Ray's Dad) moved them down there where other members of his family lived there. It could be Berrien since Grand grew-up in Nashville, or Wilkinson since MeMom's family was from there among other counties. Does anyone have information about the schools that were apart of the Old Eastman Cotton Mill Grounds? How many grades did it go to? Are there exsisting pictures of the graduation classes from it during the 1920 period? I understand that there were some nice things there such as an community room, swimming pool?, that functioned as a part of the school as well as part of the community for those who lived in the village? Does any one have information about this? Thank you in advance... Marta
