I am looking for info on William T Register b.1881 d.1941. Also may be connected in Peacock/Rowland line(not documented yet) . I beleive William Peacock married a Matilda Rowland. They had a child Henretta Peacock that married William Jimmy Bryan. They had child Willie Bryan that married an Eppie. They had child Alvin Bryan(my grandfather) who married Francine Register(William T Register's daughter). I am positive about the Willie to recent, but still trying to document from Willie Back. I am also kin to the Evans line in Dodge County area. Would love to exchange info if you can find a match. I went to Chester Elementary and Dodge County High with a William Harrell(are you kin?) he would be about 31 years old. My email is [email protected]
Going through my Bailey family tree to update it, I re-read my Second Great-Grandfather Minza Leonard Bailey's obituary: Eastman Newspaper dated March 16, 1944: M L Bailey, 77, resident of Eastman many years ago, died at his home in Valdosta March 13th following a three-months illness. He was a native of Wilkinson County. He resided in Miami, Fla. 18 years where he was a produce dealer. Funeral services were conducted at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church March 14 by Rev R G P McKinnonw. Songs were sung by J W Dunn, H H Peacock and Mr and Mrs J E Conley. Casket bearers were Robert L Pipkin, P D Fordham, Edgar Fordham, J M Hamlin, W J Dunlay and S F Johnson. Burial was in Bowers Cemetery. Surviving are: daughers, Mrs O W Middleton, **Mrs Ernest C Griner, Mrs I D Jones, Mrs Walter Jump, Mrs Eloise Tharpe; six sons, M L Bailey, Jr., Gratin Bailey, Alton, Renau, Wendell and Herbert Bailey; one brother E E Bailey of Dodge County. Does anyone know who E E Bailey is? This Unlce was never in any census records unlike Grandfather William Henry Harrison & Grandmother Nancy Mildred LORD Bailey's five other children, yet Grandfather William mentions six children in his CSA Pension Application (which I wish children were listed like those filed in 'Bama..lol). Known brothers of Grandfather Minza, one of Grandparents William & Nancy's sons, are: William Hugh & the mysterious James Franklin, sisters were Cordellia & Anna 'Annie' L. Bailey. Also, do pictures of any of these Bailey family members exist & obituaries? Ray, Minza's grandson, is reaching 88 & I would love for my grandfather to see some family pictures before he passes. Lena, I couldn't find Winford Bailey in the Dodge County Cemetery book. I also checked the Bleckley and Laurens Counties Cemetery books. I don't have a Pulaski County Cemetery book, but I think there are some cemeteries listed on-line. I know you didn't ask, but I thought I would check the surrounding counties just in case. There are other Bailey's buried in these counties, though.
