    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Wright/Keen Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Ya.2ADI/561.1 Message Board Post: Hello. I think I'm a descendent of William Wright. What I know for sure is that my great-great grandfather was named Charles Wright, that he was in his early 20s when the Civil War broke out, and that he was "older when he married" after he returned from the war. From the 1880 census, I found a Charles Wright who was the right age to be my great-great-grandfather living in the household of his father, William. I'd love to know anything about the family. I've been trying to find a record of Charles after the Civil War. I know he returned home and married Almeda Keen of Laurens County. He had at least two sons, Young Charles Wright (my great-grandfather), and John Wright, who owned a restaurant in Eastman. Young Charles Wright married Eugenia Scott of Berrien County, and they lived in Dodge county until the 1920s, when they moved to Brunswick. They had eight children who were all born in Eastman: Alma, Alcie, Mary, William, Eileen, Ernest, Grace, and Evelyn.

    1. Rev John B Mills 2 June 1853-1 June 1913 b. GA d GA
    2. This is being posted to 3 lists: Georgia; GADodge; Mills. I am trying to find information on Rev John B Mills born in Pulaski Co, GA 2 June 1853, died (probably) in GA 1 June 1913; buried in Bowers Cemetery, Dodge Co, GA. He is the son of Rev Robert E Mills (1816-1883) and Mary Ann G Bridger (ca 1834-1869). He is first on 1860 Pulaski Co Census as 7 yr old; and 1870 as 17. That is the last record till his death, that I have of him. His year of birth is listed incorrectly as 1863 in a Dodge Co, Cemetery Book. He and his brother Thomas J Mills born ca 1858 are both listed as ministers (Rev) in cemetery book. Thomas was buried in Bowen Cemetery, Dodge Co, GA The date of death of Rev Thomas J Mills is not given. Any information on either Rev John B Mills or his brother Rev Thomas J Mills would be greatly appreciated.

    1. Sons Of John Henry Haynes and Annie Zell Law-Dodge Co
    2. This message is also going to Haynes, and GADodge mailing lists. I am trying to find information on the 5 sons of John Henry Haynes [1879-1955] and his first wife Annie Zell Law [1881-1915] of Empire and Rhine, Dodge Co, GA The only son I have any information on is Elvin Elwood Haynes. The sons were: Elvin Elwood Haynes (1900-1964) Bernice Haynes*** (1901-) John E(?)* Haynes (1905-) possibly the one nicknamed "Rink" Morris Haynes (1910-) Austin Haynes**(1912-) With exception of Elwood dates were calculated by subtracting age on 1920 census from the year 1919 since the 1920 census is dated 1 January. If the ages are wrong or they were born on 1 Jan then.... Another relative mentioned that she thought that 2 of the 5 sons had worked as mechanics for the "possibly the Daytona 500" or some other Florida stock car race. This would have been possibly over 50 years ago. *The (?) next to John E Haynes name is due to the fact that the middle name could not be read with any degree of assurance. The name looked like Eaton. ** looked like possibly Austin on census-hard to read. Interpreted from the fact that we knew one of the boy's name was Austin. 4 of the sons were still living at home on 1920 census for Rhine, Dodge Co, GA, [ED 10 p 2A] --where family lived after moving from Empire, GA Also at this time father John Henry Haynes is married to 2nd wife Willie Mae Harrell. Also on the census is John's and Willie Mae's first child William. ***Son Bernice (born 1901) was living away from family home and at a boarding house in Atlanta, Fulton Co, Georgia in 1920. [ED 113 p 14 A.] Further info on family history: John Henry Haynes was the oldest child of 8 children of James Henry Haynes[1859-1920] and Susan Margaret Mills [1859-1928] of Empire, Georgia. John Henry Haynes was brother of my grandmother Mary Cornelia Haynes (1886-1979) who was married to Vaulty Asbury Martin.
