Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Ya.2ADI/641.1 Message Board Post: Hi Deborah. On pg 2055 of the Dodge County Newspaper clippings vol IV, there is an obit for Mr. N. D. McAlister which reads: Mr. N. D. McAlister died at home near Midway Monday afternoon after a lingering illness of cancer. Funeral services were conducted at Midway Church Tuesday afternoon by Rev. R. G. P. McKinnon. The following served as pallbearers: J. J. and L. E. Smith, W. F. and C. L. Jones, E. H. Vaughn and S. A McAlister. Mr. McAlister was 57 years old, and is survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. E. H. Vaughn and Mrs. W. R. Brown, Pulaski County; Mrs. W. F. Jones and Mrs. L. E. Smith, of near Eastman, S. J. McAlister, of Indiana; N. F. McAlister, Pulaski County. Don’t know if this is your Needham McAlister. The date of the paper was Thursday, July 26, 1928 so that would make his death – Monday July 23, 1928 and the funeral on the 24th. Note that the last name is a little different. Hope this helps…Jean
