I am researching the John BATES Sr of York County, SC. His youngest son, Allen BATES moved to Pike County, Alabama and all eight of his sons were volunteers in the Civil War with five of them dying in various places. Harmon BATES is listed as: Pvt, 1st Regement, Company G, Alabama infantry. Died in the battle of Atlanta. Buried Perots, Cemetery. However, I am unable to find this cemetery anywhere in the vicinity and suspect there may have been a name change. Does anyone know anything about this cemetery? William G. Bates
