The Georgia Death database shows her residence & death County as DeKalb Co., GA. 39 years old at time of death. Was Summers her middle or her maiden name? If she married a Farmer, then what was his name and his parents names? I'm trying to determine if she is connected to my Farmer family buried in the same cemetery. Bryan Macon Telegraph Bureau, No. 3 ? Whitehall Street. Atlanta, Ga., December 27, 1887 Fritz Byran, the thirteen-year-old son of Mrs. Mary E. Bryan, residing at Clarkston, ten miles from Atlanta on the Georgia railroad, met with a fearful accident last night which may result in his death. Young Bryan, it seems, made a fireball out of barrel hoops, covering the hoops with cotton balls dipped in oil. He then threw the ball up into the air, and when it came down it fell on the boy's head. In some way the head got inside the cage of hoops, and before assistances could reach him, his hair on his head, his face and his eyes were so badly burned that little hope is entertained of his recovery. It is said that both eyes are so terribly burned that his sight is completely destroyed, while his face is fearfully charred. Mrs. Bryan is in New York and has been telegraphed the sad tidings of her son's misfortune.
