My most wanted is John McLEMORE born ca 1822 in North Carolina. Lived in Decatur Co, GA per the 1850 census with his wife Sarah, and their children. I have been told, but have not seen proof, that his wife was Sarah MORGAN, dtr of Daniel Morgan. Per the census, she and her parents were also born in North Carolina. The family moved to Newton Co, TX prior to the 1860 census. Sarah may have died enroute. John was remarried to Sarah Ann BOYETT. They moved to Jasper Co, TX. John's children by his first marriage supposedly inherited land from their Morgan relatives, which they coowned with Malichi MORGAN and Kizzie KELLY. Numerous McLEMORE's and MORGAN's are buried near each other in Jasper County.
