The following are marriages in Decatur Co. Does anyone know anything about these people? I'm trying to find out if and/or how they are related to Benjamin Tipton who married Elizabeth Bostick on 29 Nov 1829 in Decatur Co. (gg-grandparents) Josiah Tipton and Susan Sheffield 4 Nov 1850 Randolph C Tipton and Tamer Stewart 6 May 1855 Tamer and R. Tipton are in Thomas Co in 1860 (with children Elizabeth and Ben); Tamer is back in Decatur in 1870 as the head of the family. Can't find where Josiah and Susan Tipton went. Also there is a 60 year old Thomas Tipton in Decatur in 1870 who is a clergyman. His wife is Caroline (43 yrs) and they are living in the midst of Harrells. Since he was a member of the Prosperity Church in 1843, I wonder if that's where he was minister. Does anyone know of a marriage date and/or last name for Caroline?
