Good Morning Everyone, I am in the process of updating the Marriage Index again. I thought that I would drop a line here to the list and let you know how it is going. Currently there are 4,343 marriages on-line. They are searchable by either the groom or bride's name. I have changed the main entry page to the marriage index so that at a glance you can tell which letters are finished. These letters are identified by being RED in color. A through G and Y and Z finished and on-line for your viewing. I would like to take this opportunity and say "THANK YOU" to Ida Kirkland Boyce for providing over 4,200 of these marriage for our use. If you have access to the marriage index and would like to assist us in this effort please let me know. Additionally, if you have any records that you have would you consider transcribing them for submission to the Decatur Co. pages. I would like to place on-line more cemetery transcriptions. Even if they are not complete, I would still like to be able to provide that information for other researchers. Is there anyone on this list that may live in the Decatur Co. area that would be interested in transcribing some cemeteries for submissions? Is there anything that is not currently available on the Decatur Co. pages that you would like to see? If so, please email me your ideas.
