Delilah and others out of Dade County... What Earlene is talking about is a beautiful piece of farm property (the old Dave L. Brown farm) in the Wildwood area on Highway 11. The present owners had said they are going to let the property be developed. BFI in Chattanooga had an option to purchase in order to open a land fill bringing the garbage from the Chattanooga area here to dump. The residents of the area had a community meeting at which BFI withdrew the option for the time being. However, although there is a temporary halt it doesn't mean that something like this can't happen in the future.
