I went to LaFayette back in 1998 (I think) and found Durham Rd and believe that I did copy this I have from the library, it is only the parts that have EVANS on it - that is when I met Mr Harmon and he told me all about the Durham Mine. Is this census in written form or microfilm? delilah evans At 16:02 3/14/01 -0500, you wrote: >Delilah, > >There are a number of mistakes in that 1900 census of Walker Co you have >that you said you copied from the Walker Co Library. Delilah, The rough draft copy was in the LaFayette Library at that time (1998). I know the man who transcribed and the lady who typed it into a book form and as far as I know there were 2/3 copies made. It was transcribed from microfilm. The LaFayette Library does have the census microfilm. The WALKER COUNTY MESSENGER began in 1880 and they have them on mircofilm also.
