    1. Re: [GADADE] Look up in 1920
    2. Karen, If no one has found him yet....Do you have Charley's age in 1920 and/or birth place. I looked in Dade and didn't find a Charley, Charles, Charlie. Closest name was a Shade C. Hale age 58, wife Mary J wife some kids. I looked also in DeKalb, Ala and surrounding Ga counties. There are Hales in most of them. There is a Charley in Chattooga County, Georgia. I'll be happy to look further, just send me what info you have that might help me. I've had you on my list to email since we got back from Texas and just haven't gotten to it. First....our trip to Texas was great. We stayed much too long in Howe though and had to drive home in a day and 1/2 so we only got to stay in McAlester about two hours....luckily the Oakhill Cemetery was right off the road we were on. We found George and Elizabeth's graves...but not his kids, etc. That Cemetery is huge!! This trip unfortunately had objectives other than Genealogy. We will be coming back in the spring and this time I'll be able to plan to spend much more time in OK and plan a more detail research. If your schedule works out, we'd love to be able to meet you and talk about the Murrays. Second...Do you belong to the First Families of the Twin Territories? In searching the internet a few weeks ago, I found their site and and am in the process of filling out the application for David. I have most of the source info just need a couple marriage documents from Walker and Dade. I belong to the First Families of Tennessee and I think David is going to be very surprised and happy about the OK First Families. Thought I'd give him the certificate as a surprise for Christmas. Third...I know you probably do, but I learned the hard way and am reminding everyone to back up your family files. Two weeks ago, (about a week after we returned from Texas) my PC totally died and I lost everything on my hard-drive (software, data, emails from family, pictures, etc). Luckily I had copied my FTM files to my laptop to take to Texas in case we got to spend time in OK. I have spent hours recovering software and data but am so grateful for Texas. I still remember something about every day that I have lost, but I would have lost a lot more if I hadn't taken that trip. I just hope my PC it is finally fixed.. the repairman has worked on it three times. So much about my near disaster...just send me a little more info about Charley and I'll see if I can't find him for you. Thanks a lot. Sarah
