Unless they were missed on the censuses there was not a CLIMER in Dade County GA. However, in Co B. 6th GA Volunteer Inf (a Civil War unit) that was raised in Dade County there were two enlistees by the name of CLYMER. One was John B. (Pvt) who was killed Sept 17, 1862 and the other was Reuben D. Clymer (Pvt) who was permanently disabled... no other information. Men did not have to live in the county in which they enlisted during the Civil War so these two men could have lived anywhere. If James Mason Climer died ca 1933 a death certificate should have been filed in KY. There is a good possibility that his parents might be listed on it.
