Pat, at the present time I do not have the names of Louisa Powell's parents. I am not familiar with Cane Creek, GA; however, I know that the marriage of Thomas J. Payne and Louisa Powell occurred in McMinn Co, TN in 1848. Perhaps her parents resided in that area and could be found in the 1840 or 1850 census. Maybe they all moved to GA/Al together, sometime after 1850. I will continue to comb through my notes for any answer to your question. Thanks for writing.
