I notice that there was nothing given for the person, Benice. Was she just listed and blanks after the name? In 1860 John W. Shorb is listed as 30 born in Tennessee ( at least the census image has "do" under the prior person who had listed Tennessee (written out) as birth place. Sarah's age is give as 28 born Virginia and written out. One child, Dorcas J. age 2 ( this would be the Jane, I think, that you have on the 1870. Are you sure about the spelling of Virginia age 7? The age is right for the family (the one I am researching) in the 1880 census for Boone Co. AR. but her name was Nancy E. John is correct for age for the one I am tracing. Boy, sometimes I think these people just pick a name and age when they answer or complete the census forms. Thanks for your assistance
