Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Ua.2ADI/419.1 Message Board Post: Judy, I did quite a bit of research on a Gaile Row(e) who was born in Charleston S.C.; served in the Civil War; lived in Dade County for a number of years; then moved to Dayton (Hamilton County TN) where he died in the 1920s. I don't remember exact dates right now. I did this research for someone else so I have no connections to the family other than that. I did make a copy of the research that was done. Gaile was married twice. His first wife died while they were living in Dade County ca 1883. They were the parents of several children. He and his second wife had children. I know there was a son, Paul, who lived in Rossville (Walker County GA). He and his wife had no children. However, I did not trace the other children of Gaile Row(e). If this could be the same family, let me know. Sue Forrester Dade County GA

Rowe born in Chattanooga in 1904. He had a brother by the name Wood. I was once told that he may have been put into an orphanage with his brother when they were small. Paul grew up and married Lillian Yates and lived in Johnson City, Tn.
In the 1880 Dade Census, household #342, George Murray, wife Lizzie Satterwhite Murray, and four children are living with Margaret Moreland who is the head of household. Thomas Moreland, who I believe is Margaret's brother, lives next door. Does anyone know the relationship (if any) that the Murray's and Moreland's have?? The Murray's are my husband's direct line. My Aunt Lucy Tinker Snyder owned some of the land where I-59 was built, her children took control of it and sold it - as I am told - Aunt Lucy was a COG minister. I have a post card writtten by her where she says she wants to go to Trenton for a revival. > delilah > > > ==== GADADE Mailing List ==== > Search the GADADE mailing list archive at > http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl?list=GADADE > >
