<sorry to send this to the list, but margie's personal address kicked it back to me> Good morning, Margie. I've been on the Crawford County list forever, but with no luck at all. This morning I looked at the cemetery archives for my Boon/Boone and his in-law Sawyers, but I don't find either surname at all? My question... Is this archive all inclusive? If I'm not finding either surname there is it safe to assume they plunked down in Crawford only long enough to marry, have a few kids and move on? My biggest problem is Littleberry Boon who was born GA @ 1806 and did marry Epsey Sawyer in Crawford January 26, 1832 as recorded in Probate Book A1. (I've not seen this document.) Littleberry seems to have sprung unaided from under a rock with no parents, siblings, or even a cat to claim kin. Another question... where is the Crawford County seat, and how do I write to the probate court clerk (or whomever) to obtain a copy of that document? ANY help is appreciated. Frances M.
