My gggrandmother, Sara Jane LONG, m Jeremiah (Jerry) McGee on July 25, 1860. Their dau, Elizabeth Lavada McGee, b April 23, 1866, in Crawford Co., m James Allen Franklin Oct 18, 1884, James Allen was born in Upson Co, ( Yatesville ) , and both died there. I MAY have "talked" with you before! My genealogy records are not in good, workable condition right now. I was in Winston Salem, NC several months ago, after my son's back surgery, and I received an E-mail from someone who claimed to have quite a bit of info researched, or collected by Bobby Stokes. He sent me some info but can't put my finger on it right now. I WILL find it, however! Also, I do have right in front of me a small amt of info on Sara Ann LONG: m JF ANDREWS January 26.1871; and M. A. R. Long who m Gray M. Andrews January 15.1874; Mary Ann LONG m Willie J. Newberry September 1, 1852. This was in with my McGee notes, and I am ashamed to say, I do not have a source for these. We have had so much illness, surgeries and then the death of my mother that my research has been fragmented at best. Now we are getting ready to put our home on "the market" ( Chipley, FL) and relocate to Winston Salem, NC. Because of all my time away from home, or on the computer "researching," I see before me the almost impossible task of getting ready for a "sale." In other words, I have been a lousy housekeeper this past year! For that reason, I have got to put my computer time on the "back burner" for a few months. HOWEVER, altho I will not be "searching" all the various forums for a while, I would enjoy hearing from you! Although I have spent much more time and effort on my STEWART ancestors, my grandmother's FRANKLIN, LONG, and McGee ancestors are those I most hunger to find. She, and her FRANKLIN sisters were all such wonderful people, and I want to know all I can of their heritage. I probably have more information on the LONGS and will try to research my files "tonight" after my "working day" is over! Please respond. Sincerely, Jacki Stewart McGlamory (down here in the sunny, DRY, "panhandle.") Jacki
