Eve, Reverend Samuel Branch Burnett is my husband's great-great-great grandpa. He is buried by his wife, Patience Mahala Morris, in the Mt. Paron Baptist Church Cemetery in Crawford County, in fact there is an impressive tombstone on the family plot. The tombstone reads FAMILY OF ELDER SAMUEL B. BURNETT. The church is presently named the Bethany Bible Chapel. It is on Highway 80, on west side of the Echnochee (I'm not sure how to spell that correctly) Creek. Grandpa Burnett was born April 7, 1803, and died February 5, 1887. I hope that is enough for now. I will gladly share more later, but right now I am in the middle of preparing to honor another ancestor who lived in that area. Our family lives in Valkaria, Florida (that's 60 miles south of Cape Canaveral) and we are planning a trip to Bibb County (next to Crawford County) in May when we dedicate a government marker and Sons of Confederate Veterans Iron Cross at the grave of C. M. Newberry in Lizella, Georgia. So, I don't have time to share much, but I am willing. Please keep in touch and get back to me sometime in July. May the goodness of God, and the Sonshine of His love be a bright light in your live and the lives of those you love. Later, Jackie Marshall Marshall
