Looking for info on a John B. Willcoxon and a Hugh Buchanon. Think both were officers in charge of Co D., Phillips Legion Cav., otherwise known as 'the Coweta Rangers' in the War of Southern Independance. I know that the Rangers were mustered from Coweta and surrounding counties in 1861, and were originally Co. K in Phillips Legion, under the command of Col. WILLIAM PHILLIPS. Later the company was redesignated as 'D'. Anyone know anything about these two men or Co. D. ? pictures, books, letters, etc.? Thanks in advance....
