I am planning a Leslie research meeting. Many descendants of Joseph Lessley (born 1807 in SC lived in Coweta County Ga from 1830-1870) could be living in Coweta County. His daughters married Carmichael's, Stewarts, and Flowers. I would love to exchange information with you. When: Saturday, June 19 Time: 11:00 a.m. Where: LDS Family History Center 2768 Altadena Road, Birmingham, AL 35243 (205) 967-7279 P.O.C.: Annabel Ballew: ballew@vvm.com 770-893-1843 Liz: DICKBIVIN@aol.com I am looking forward to meeting all of my wonderful cousins. Please bring your family pedigree charts, pictures, maps, and stories and most of all be ready to share. We will try to have a scanner on site to help facilitate this sharing. Keep me posted on your trip plans and let me know if I can help in anyway. Your cousin, Annabel Ballew Directions to LDS Family History Center: >From I-459, take exit 19, US 280east, get in the rightmost lane as you exit and stay to the right, take first right turn off 280, about 100 yards from exit ramp; this goes into The Colonade office and shopping complex. At first traffic light turn left (I think this is Colonade Parkway), follow it (a mile or less) to Cahaba River Road (Old 280 on Yahoo map), about a mile or less you'll see Altadena Road to the left and LDS church. You can enter parking lot from either street; Family History Center is on West end of building.
