As a secondary source, the $100 is probably a good investment. As a primary source, IF you are interested in the TRUTH of your family, they are worthless. I used the genealogy.com online library for 3 months - free subscription. And that is not information submitted by individuals regarding their families. It is census records, out of print books, etc. The individually submitted trees are another issue all together. When I used it, there were census books, compilations of records, Volumes 1-7 of They Were Here, volumes 1-9 of Georgia Pioneers.
