Beulah, I'm not an authority on this, but I'd say Dutch Fork is the area below Columbia, SC, where the two rivers join. Another name there is the community of Saxe Gotha. Then there is Sandy Run. Orangeburg is just below all this and I think everything was recorded there or at Charles Town (Charleston, SC). Try to find a reprint of "The History of Orangeburg County, SC" by A. S. Salley, Jr., 1898. I have some of the Index and for KING, it lists: George, pp 257-8, 269, 272; Mary, 111. There were no listings for WARD. But it's still an excellent book for clues and local color. He also wrote some others I can't recall at the moment. Excellent historian. Also, try Orangeburg Co., SC, on GenForum http://genforum.genealogy.com/sc/orangeburg/index.html#83 Anne C. ----- Original Message ----- From: <GrannyMc@aol.com> > Thank you for the information.
