Hi Cindy Can you tell me a little more about Janie Louisa Chamblin. She was the daughter of Wyatt L Chamblin III and Fannie Louisa Eubanks. Wyatt L III and my great grandmother, Ida Chamblin, were first cousins. Janie Louisa Chamblin had a sister Ruth L b Jan 1886, a brother Ribert G "Grady" Chamblin b March 1890. Apparently Fannie "Louisa" Eubanks died because on Jan 5 1911 Wyatt III married second ..Mamie Foster and they had four children: Marie J Chamblin, Vernell Chamblin, J. L. Chamblin and Nicholas "Nick" Chamblin. thanks much, Stephanie DWeathersb@aol.com wrote: > > Dear Myra, > My line is, > Ezekiel Fuller m. Deborah Spivey > Ezekiel Fuller m. Thanks, Mike. That does sound like Dutch settlers might have named it - IF it was settled in that era. List: I don't know anything about Ninian Offut Magruder, so I may be muddying the waters, but I have some pages of a Magruder genealogy given to me by Colonel Lawson W. Magruder of Houston, TX. The genealogy starts: "William Magruder, son of Ninian Beall Magruder and his wife, Rebecca Young, was born in Montgomery County, Maryland in 1770. "He married Lucy Williams on February 14, 1798 in Columbia County, Georgia. Hew left Georgia for Mississippi along with other pioneers, but died along the way at Greensboro, Alabama, April 17, 1838. His will was made in Columbia County, Georgia, dated February 24, 1838, and was probated July 2, 1838 . . . His wife, Lucy (Williams) Magruder, died in Madison County, Mississippi, in 1851." etc. Please note the middle name of the Ninian who was father to William.
I don't know how you buy old copies of these publications by Georgia Pioneers, but I do have the book Columbia County Early Marriages. Since you were so gracious to look up all those cemetery entries for me and everyone else on the list, I will be more than happy to look up any marriage you need. All I need is the Groom's surname. The brides are not in alphabetical order. The widely circulated information that Ninian Offutt Magruder was son of Ninian Magruder Jr. is false. Ninian Jr. had a son Ninian who lived out his life in Maryland, so couldn't be the father of Ninian Offutt Magruder who settled in Georgia. Ninian Offutt Magruder appears to have been a son of John Magruder, another son of Ninian Sr. -- Tom DWeathersb@aol.com wrote: > Dear Michele, > Thanks for your information. Dear Michele, Thanks for your information. Your question about Ninian Offutt Magruder being related to Leticia Offutt, I'm not sure. Ninian Offutt Magruder ( male) was married to a Mary Harris. I have Mary Harris's mother as being Sarah Offutt. I have her father as being William Offutt. As Ninian Offutt Magruder's father I have as Ninian Magruder Jr. and he is married to Mary Offutt. Okay, let's see what we can find..... There are no Lovelaces at all. (There are a bunch of Bealles with a couple of different spellings that might be related to Margery) None of your Magruders are listed (The Magruders I have are Amanda P., Cecil, Rev. Peter, and Rosie) The only Flint I have on your list is J.E. Flint Harlem Memorial Cemetery J.E. Flint NO DATES next to him is Furman Herbert Flint 21 Dec 1879 - 02 Feb 1886 next to him is Alma Clyde Flint 19 Jul 1907 only date And that is it... By the way, regarding your Ninian Offutt Magruder. Is she related to Leticia Offutt born 30 Apr 1797?
