    3. Savannah Morning News Dec.6,1999 Vidalia,Ga.--John E."Jack" Ladson,87,died Dec.4 at home. The native of Colquitt was a leading tobacco warehouseman for 25 years before moving to Vidalia in 1962 with his wife the late Margaret Brice Ladson. In 1980,he created the John E.Ladson Jr.Historical Foundation and the Genealogical Library in Vidalia.He was a graduate of Moultrie High School,Furman University and Duke University.He was a member of the Society of the Cincinnati,Society of Colonial Wars,Sons of the American Revolution for more then 25 years and numerous state historical societies. In 1981,he received the Daughters of the American Revolution Medal of Honor from the Vidalia chapter of the DAR. The above is not the complete orbituary for Mr.Ladson
