Hi List, I am trying to do some research for a friend. She is trying to trace her father's line. Except for the documents on her father, she has very little to go on to obtain other documents. All she has is the names of his parents and where he was born. She has always been led to believe that her family came from Ga. Here is the very scant bit of information I have. I hope that someone out there can get us pointed into the right direction to write for other documents and start finding her ancestry. Thank-you all so much in advance for any help you can shed on this family. Carl Minor VICK was born Jan. 15, 1909 in Moultrie, Ga. He died Aug. 13, 1993 in Crystal River, Citrus, Fl. His parents were: Augustus G. VICK and Frances Catherine BRADISHAW. She has no idea where Augustus died and there is nothing in the SS Index, familysearch, or ancestry.com on this family. Frances died Feb. 1960 in Pinebluff, Arkansas. They had 5 children; Carl Minor, Clarence, Sally, Eva and Ruby. Any help in finding a starting point with this family besides the birth place of Carl Minor VICK would be greatly appreciated. I did not even find anything on the GENDEX that came close to this family. Sue macduff@citrus.infi.net

Hi, folks -- We are trying to locate the GACOLQUI list manager. Mail to the administrator's e-mail address, Colquitt-Co-Ga@surfsouth.com, has been bouncing for several weeks and we've been unable to determine whether they are still around using a different e-mail address or have dropped off the face of the earth. If you are the GACOLQUI list administrator, please go to your list utility page and update the list admin's address with your current address. If you've forgotten where the utility page is, you can get to it at this URL: http://lists.rootsweb.com/findutil.pl?GACOLQUI If you're not the list manager but know who is, you may want to forward this note to them. :-) If the list administrator's address hasn't been changed by Monday, December 6 (that's a week from today), then we'll assume that the list has been abandoned and will put it up for adoption. Thanks, and sorry to intrude -- -- Regards, Tim Pierce RootsWeb.com lead system admonsterator and Chief Hacking Officer

Hello Colquitt County Lister's: This is my first time on this list. I am looking for anyone that might be engaged with TURNER researching. I know there were several families of Turner's in Colquitt Co GA. My line is from John Thomas TURNER b 11 Nov 1862 Sumter Co GA d 4 Aug 1937 burial at Turner Family Cemetery Colquitt Co GA. He was married to Ida COOK. They had thirteen children. The family was and is associated with Dona Turner Road, the Smith's of Doerun, and Cook's of the County and various other families. I am mainly interested in how the different Turner families in Colquitt Co are related, if known. I would appreciate any information or suggestions. I have lots of TURNER information on my direct lines and of course happy to share. Hello All: I seek to find the line of Joshua Davis and Mary A. Emma Kilcrease. They had a daughter who married James Wesley Newton and they later moved to Worth County, GA. In 1913 James died and Their Daughter Mary Elizabeth Davis returned to her Fathers Farm in Norman Park with her three children. Nathen, Minnie Ida, and Viola Newton. The Newtons had moved to GA from Newtons' Crossroads in NC in the County of Duplin. Does anyone notice any of these folks??? Thanks, Gail
