I'm a descendant of the Kirklands, but I have a Manning Spivey listed in my database. From the Kirkland Book, I have Manning married to Mary Kirkland, daughter of Joshua, Jr. and Hester Clesta Lott. I've never heard the story of Joshua's wife or of the other woman and the children. Interesting. I'll have to look into it. Since Hester was a Lott, maybe some of the Lott researchers may know this story? Also who is the Edmund Sr., that you refer to a Spivey or a Kirkland?
