Thanks, Clyde, for checking to see if we share the same "Elizabeth". I'm beginning to wonder if my Elizabeth Pearson had any relatives at all. Again, she was listed on the 1880 Coffee County Census, just with her three young daughters, Angel, Georgia, and Ila; no husband. She, herself, would've been about 38 at the time. (the story, of course is that Elizabeth is not the birth mother of at least one of the girls, namely, Ila. Georgia also shared the same story with her family-that she was Native American). I've been told that the "Pearson" family was a prominent family in that area. Seems there should be someone out there related. I'm also looking for any Coxwells who may be related to the man who married Ila Ione Pearson (John Coxwell) Also, Ila had two sons by another man prior to marrying John even though John raised the sons as his own. (the sons were Joseph and Elza). The family has been told that the name of the birth father may have been something like "Entree". Any takers? Bev mbtin83@aol.com
