Hi Nancy, James P. Ward being Zilpha Kirkland's 2nd husband is new to me, I did not know about her 1st husband being James Jones, so thank you for sharing that information. I do believe that I have the children of James P. Ward and Zilpha Kirkland, I show 11 children also. As for James P. Ward's parent's, James Ward and Priscilla Gibbs, daughter of Abraham Gibbs, I show that she married twice, James Ward and Christopher Hargraves. The son's that I have for them are James Preston Ward, born 1791 in Pitt Co., NC; died 1852; Joab Ward, Abraham Gibbs Ward and Jacob Ward. I have no information than that on them. I was hoping to get more information on the son's to see if my gg-grandfather Jackson Davis Ward was related to one of them. That's why I was curious to talk with you about the Kirkland's since Kirkland's married into Ward family.
