Hi Nancy, I think most all of us that are related to the Kirklands try to lay claim to being related to Richard Kirkland. There is a painting some where of him but can't remember just where it is, besides the one you spoke of. The Kirklands history, I believe really goes back to the Kirklands from Ireland and Scotland and if you trace back far enough we are all cousins. Some are better known than other, like my family. They are trying their best to stay hidden. Thanks for the info about Richard and if your pictures turn out OK, I sure would like to have a set. Just tell me what it will cost.
