    3. I sent a reply to erowe@surfsouth.com and it was returned, saying the user "erowe" is not known. Hopefully, whoever had the question about John Wesley Burkett can get this information that I am sending to the list. Her parents were Robert Green Tanner and Elmira Hall. Do you > know of this particular John Burkett? I have not researched the family of John W. Burkett, but: According to Huxford in "Pioneers of Wiregrass Georgia" Coffee Co., Volume III, page 32, John W. Burkett was the son of Bartillery Burkett and Lavinia Taylor. Also, according to Ward's History of Coffee County, pg. 69, John was the son of Bartillery and Viney Taylor. Children of John and Lucinda Tanner were Bartillery, who married Carrie Woods; Lucinda, who married "Jug" Douglas; Johnie, who married a Martin; Lige, who married an Ellis; Linnie, who married Jule Wilcox; Emmie, who married Mark Hall; Minnie who married Lyman Hays; and Mintie, who married George Pridgen. Some of John's children are buried in Burkett Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Clyde
