Hi Melody. I am looking for family information for James Mack Merritt who married Elizabeth Grantham b 1863.(dau of Jackson Grantham and Anna E. Sears. Did James Mack Merritt and Elizabeth have children? Did Elizabeth marry anyone else? Jackson Grantham b 1830 m Anna Sears...I am interested in ALL their children. I have no family info for their son Burrell. And I am very interested in their son John Wesley Grantham who married Mary Jane Vickers. Because I am looking for my ggrandmother, Eliza Grantham born 1862-1868. Her death certificate lists no parents. My elderly relatives say they knew nothing about her family. They say she used to go visit a brother in Irwin or Berrien or Coffee County. They also say that they said that (1) she was adopted and some say (2) her parents were killed by Indians. I don't think that her parents were killed by Indians in 1862-1868? But, she did name her first born son, JOHN WESLEY. That makes me think that perhaps she was related to this family.
