Thanks, Connie > > I think I'm coming into this late. But, better late than never? Anyway, I would doubt that Benjamin Thomas, Jr., was the son of Mary Douglas, widow of John Tanner. If John died 1818-1820 (according to Jeff), or circa 1827 (according to something I saw), then Mary became a widow, no earlier than 1818. According to Huxford, Benjamin Thomas, Jr., was born in 1807, in Cheraw District, South Carolina. Mary was supposed to have married a Thomas, and it may have been Benjamin Sr., but I doubt that Benjamin Jr. was her son. Benjamin Jr. married Mehala Music. I have seen her name as Mehala and Mahala. Does anyone know which is correct? Their daughter, Millie Ann, was born Jan. 10, 1848, according to her tombstone. I have information on her and William Middleton "Bill" Tanner, and also some information on some of their children: Benjamin W. "Ben", James M., and William Monroe, since they are ancestors of Riner descendants. And her brother, Aaron F., married Lydia Ann Meeks, and I'm trying to gather information on all their descendants. Finally, a sister, Martha Jane Thomas, married Asbury Chappell Tanner. I have some information on them, and their son, Reubin W. "Rube". I remember seeing some Music Family messages. Does anyone have any information on an Abram Music that married Mary Riner on Jan. 28, 1885, in Emanuel County, Georgia? I have an idea who she was, and if she is who I think, she was born circa 1861. I have no idea who he was, nor what happened to them after their marriage. Thanks. Clyde
