He had married first Martha Ella Thomas on July 14, 1895, in Coffee County. She was born Jan. 24, 1877, probably in Coffee County, and was the daughter of Aaron F. and Lydia Ann (Meeks) Thomas. They were farming in Coffee County during the 1900 and 1910 censuses. Their children include Ira C., Bertha, Ethel, Dora and Dolly. (I'm not sure if there were any others or not.) Kiler was born circa 1855, probably in Telfair County. Timothy was born circa 1833 in Telfair County and died May 6, 1864, at Spottsylvania Courthouse, Virginia. Celia Lankford Kirkland Meeks was born in 1834 and died in 1918.
