> >Which Joshua Kirkland? Yesterday, it sounded to me like she was referring to Joshua Kirkland, son of Richard and Hester Kirkland. Joshua's wife, Sarah "Sallie" Fender, is buried in the Kirkland Cemetery. My previous information was that the location of Joshua's grave was unknown. So this is new to me. I know some people who know right where Ward Cemetery is. Next time I'm down there, I'm going to make an effort to find it. I'm told it has gotten in very bad shape. I've always been told it was "in the edge of a field". Who else does the book say is buried there Clyde? I think Hester Ward to be one, for sure. We have a later edition at the Augusta Genealogical Society Library and it says (words to the effect) that B. H. Tanner was moved.
