Hi... I am researching Stafford Davis who was born Apr 16, 1840 in Montgomery Co, GA....he was the son of Daniel and Elizabeth Miller Davis. He married twice.... Once to Rutha Ann Hitchinson and they had the following children: David or Daniel Davis, age 12 in the 1880 Montgomery Co, GA census.... Stafford, age 10 in 1880 Evan, age 8 in 1880 Harman, age 6 in 1880 Rutha, age 4 in 1880 James,, age 8 months in 1880 census.... I am looking for information on the above children.... Also another son was born after the 1880 census... Duncan Davis....He was born Apr 12, 1880 and he died Jan 14, 1928....he married Charity Hall....his step sister (She was the daughter of Nancy Ann Miller and her first marriage)..... Stafford's second marriage was to Nancy Ann Miller..... and they had the following children: This was from the 1900 Coffee Co, Tanner, GA census.... Bettie Davis, born Jul 1886 Joseph Davis, born Dec 1889 Also listed with them is their stepsiblings..... Maude(?) Hall, born Feb 1887 Charity Hall, born Jul 1889 Neal Hall, born Feb 1893 In the 1910 Coffee Co, McDonald GA Census....Stafford and Nancy had the following children with them: Josephena, age 10 Elias, age 5 Emily, age 3 In the 1920 Census, the following children were with them: Amanda, age 34 Elias, age 16 Emma, age 13 I am asking for any help in trying to find out more information on the children of Stafford and Rutha.....and any other information on his children with Nancy.... Also looking for a death date for Stafford....he must have died before 1930....he was 78 in 1920....so I am assuming he died before 1930...so far haven't been able to find him in the GA death index.... Nancy died Jan 27, 1946 and was buried in Tanner Cemetery.... Appreciate any help in my research....and thank you for any help.... Stephanie Grohol
