Do you know if he played with the Green Bay Packers? I have a telegram from 1946 sent to his name in Elberton, GA, which I found in my grandmother's belongings. I'm finding two ? Van Davises with about the same dates of birth and within a few miles of each other in the early years. Don't know if they are the same man. I do see a Van Davis on the faculty of South Georgia College in Douglas, but again, don't know it it's the right one. I'd love to reach his family to see if they'd like the telegram. The Packers museum and the Georgia Sports Hall of fame both want it but I'd prefer to give it to a family member if they'd like it.
