Surnames: Sutton/Mixon/Pierce/Adams Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ic.2ADE/1062 Message Board Post: In a deposition to a Special Examiner of the Pension Board of FL for Indian War Service, dated July 1896, John SUTTON stated he was 78 yrs old, lived at McDonald's Mills (Axson), Coffee Co, GA. The examiner must have had a hard to locating him and found that he lived in "an unsettled area, alone". He would have been born around 1818 in GA. I would like to correspond with anyone doing SUTTON family research, or has information on this John SUTTON. I believe he is the one who married (1) Nancy MIXON and (2) Elizabeth PIERCE. He stated he was a "cousin" to the ADAMS family!
