Dick and Marian, Lourice and I both searched for an obit for Francis Marion Smith. We couldn't find one. However, if you don't need the obit for children and siblings and parents, then, in my opinion, we found something even better. Very touching..... Take care, Melody Here it is: . In Memory of Mr.Francis Marion Smith My husband, Francis Marion Smith died November 2nd, 1926 after an illness of over 5 weeks of Bronchial pneumonia and old age. He was a confederate soldier. He remembered four wars. He was a member of the M. E. church South. An active worker in the church, being a superintendent of S. S. for a period of about 85 years. he died at the advanced age of ninety one years, eleven months and five days.He would have been 92 years old 28th of November. I had a husband good and true, about the age of ninety two. at Lone Hill curch his body sleeps For him I cannot help but weep. I hope to meet him some glad day, where God shall wipe all tears away. In that eternal home above, Where all is joy and peace and love In that bright home.
