This is what is found in the "John the Tanner" book: George Lester TANNER, son of Deacy (Youngblood) and John Wesley Tanner, Jr, was born 5 Oct 1899. On 8 May he married RUBY RAWLINS. She was born 22 Sept 1909 and died 22 Sept 1980. They were both buried in Forest Grove Cem. According to Ruby (Rawlins) Tanner's obituary, she had lived in Florida since 1944. She died at the Methodist Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. The surviving children were: (1) Laverne (Tanner) ROSE of California. (2) Betty J. (Tanner) HAYES of Atlantic Beach, FL.
