    1. Re: [GACOFFEE] Minnie Bell Carver
    2. I have two different Minnie Bell Carver[s]: The daughter of James Jefferson "Pink" Carver married Alonzo "Lonnie" Jordan Veal and was born Jan 11, 1890. The other Minnie Bell married Willie Emmitt Hersey. I do not know who her parents were. Thanks, M. Solomon ~~~~~~~~~ I actually have 3 Minnie Bell Carvers, but you are correct. I had Minnie Bell Carver b 1896 who married Emmitt Hersey attached to the wrong parents. She is the daughter of Fannie Carver b Abt 1879 who married Daniel Rimes in 1898, and died within a few years after she married him. Minnie Bell was then taken-in by some of her Carver family and raised. Minnie Bell & Emmitt Hersey are buried at Roxie Mae Cemetery in Coffee Coutny, GA. I don't know who Fannie Carver's parents were, or where she is buried, does anyone else? Minnie Bell Carver b 1-11-1890 was the d/o James Jefferson Pink Carver + Ann Jane Parker. Minnie Bell Carver b 1877 was the d/o Jesse Carver b 1850 + Harriett Mixon, she married Thomas Williams. Sorry for the mix-up, and I hope this will help others. 1. Re: [GACOFFEE] Jesse CARVER/Elizabeth GRANTHAM
    2. Do you know this for sure as my father in law was the son of Emmett and Minni. buried at Roxie Mae. All their children told the same story that Minni's mother was not married when she was born and her mother later married a Mr. Rhymes. When Minnie was about five or so her mother died and Mr. Rhymes was very mean to Minnie and the sister of Minni and her husband went with guns and took her away from him and his mother. They raised Minnie from that day on. My husband can remember being told by Minnie how mean she had been treated by her step-father. Uncle Early Hersey who lived in Waycross was a brother to my father in law and he also told me the same story thay Minnie was illegitimate and her step father was a Rhymes and was an only child raised by her aunt and uncle.
