    1. Re: [GACOFFEE] Youngblood, Grantham, and Kirklands in pictures!!

    3. Joyce, Your husband's grandfather was the son of Nathan and Hulda Youngblood Grantham? I'll send you the information that I have on the Youngbloods tomorrow. My husband is descended from Elijah and Elizabeth Whitley Grantham through their son Jackson and through his son Elijah and wife, Elizabeth Ricketson Grantham. Their daughter Nellie married Iverson Lee McCook, Iverson's son Elijah "Buddy" McCook married Nellie Pridgen. Buddy and Nellie were my husbands grandparents. I have the Grantham cemetery on-line at the Coffee County GaGenWeb site and have a paper copy of a picture of Iverson Lee McCook and Nellie Grantham on their wedding day. I don't know how it will scan to add it to the Pioneer pictures site, but I'm going to try. Nellie was about 16 in the picture and like the picture of Linnie Grantham was very tiny and dark-headed. If you need any of my Grantham information, let me know and I'll send that also. Thanks, melody > Descendants of Elijah Grantham, Sr. > > 1 Elijah Grantham, Sr. b: 1808 in South Carolina d: 1859 in Coffee > County, Georgia > .. +Elizabeth Whitley b: 1811 in Laurens County, Georgia m: 01 July 1825 in > Irwin County, Georgia d: 1847 > 2 Jackson Grantham > b: 28 December 1830 in Irwin County, Georgia d: 01 March 1910 in Coffee > County, Georgia > ............. +Anna E. 3. I keep reading these message you guys place about the different Kirklands. Well I am searching for two Kirklands, Marcyline and her brother Hinton Kirkland. They lived in Hamilton Co. Fl when they married back in the 1800s and I wonder if they didn't come from Coffee Co. Ga. I don't know who their parents were so I haven't been able to trace them. I always thought that my Uncle Albert Waters move to Douglas because his mother was from there. It is just that I don't have any proof. If you run across these two names I would appreciate it beyound words if you would let me know. keep up the good work and good luck Always Clydie

    3. If I'm not mistaken, from a census I saw of Coffee Co., and do not have in the computer, Linnie is the sis. of my husbands grandfather, John G. Grantham, who is s/o Nathan. My husband never saw any of his grandfathers siblings after he was old enough to remember. I think it was in the Metts Book that I saw a list of these children and they all died young or young adults, except for John G. That's when I told my husband the reason he never saw any of then but his grandfather. I know this is sketchy from my memory but I think I am correct.I won't have time tomorrow to find that info but will try Wed. 3. Karen, Are you familiar with Tanner Church ? I'm not sure where it is. Can you help Christy? Melody To any Tanner folks; My Great Grandfather, Elias Wesley Bullard is reported in the 1910 Coffee County census as living in the Warren Tanner household along with two of his sons and he is buried in the Tanner Church cemetery in an unmarked grave. I am curious to know who the Tanner's were that he was living with, and where the Tanner Church is. Thanks, Christy

    3. Tanner Church is located just off the Old Axson Hwy. This road travels from Douglas to Pearson. From Douglas take a right at the 2nd light east of Wal-Mart. Go out to the old Cady Grocery store on the left and take a left. Church is on the left. There are many many Tanners in that area. I'm not too familiar with them. 2. I just wanted to report that we had a great reunion of the descendants of Jonathan Evans and Susan Matilda PARRISH BRYANT on the weekend of June 16th-17th at the Weir Center in Douglas. There were about 150 there from the ages of 92 to less than a year. We were especially pleased to meet a "long lost cousin," John Wood and his family. John is descended from Bart Bryant, the brother of Jonathan; and we had lost contact with that branch many years ago. The next BRYANT reunion will be June 2002. Martha Ross
