You can view the obituaries at: http://www.geocities.com/coffee_cnty/obituary.html I've added a couple of newspaper articles that are interesting. They're at: http://www.geocities.com/coffee_cnty/thisandthat.html Several new pioneer pictures have been added at: http://www.geocities.com/coffee_cnty/pioneerpics.html Hope you all enjoy these! Take care, Melody

AGED WOMAN IS BURNED TO DEATH NEAR TIFTON Tifton, Ga., March 1st.--- Mrs. Jake McMillan, 83 years old, who resided nearly all her life in this county, was burned to death, in her home, about 15 miles south of Tifton. The aged woman was in the house alone and was evidently trying to light her pipe with a straw from her old-fashioned broom, when her clothing caught fire. She screamed and some children in the yard heard her and ran to her rescue and smothered the flames of her clothing. She died in a few minutes. SOURCE: Personal research.
