    3. Hi Folks, Leesburg is in Lee County, Georgia. I was asking about a location in Coffee County that was called Wooten in the 1900 Census. Wooten, Coffee Co., Georgia is no longer listed on any map that I have seen (even one for 1899). I believe someone has indicated that the area referred to as Wooten, Coffee County in the 1900 Census is now apart of Broxton. Is that correct? 2. Georgeanne McPeters
    3. Rob, I am certainly not an expert on the area. But on a research trip to Coffee County last January with two WOOTEN descendants, I ran into an area I suspect was the "Wooten" District. From the Pridgen Cemetery, we drove north and then took a right to the east and headed to the Oak Grove Methodist Church and Cemetery. This is the cemetery where Bryant Lee WOOTEN (1836-1907) is buried. The area in between the two cemeteries is where many of the WOOTENs lived and I believe corresponds to the Wooten District. I may be wrong, but I believe it is a close approximation. Below are two links to the Topomaps of the area. http://www.topozone.com/map.asp?lat=31.6972&lon=-82.9228 http://www.topozone.com/map.asp?lat=31.7617&lon=-82.9339 One thing you could do is obtain a description of the district. The census each year had a description for each enumeration district, so this would provide you with a closer description than I have given you. Good hunting!
