I would like for anyone that has information on Charles W Peacock or Alma Elder to please contact me. Thank you Brenda
Cousin Ransom .... I believe you are correct.... this has to be Delithia, d/o of Matthew & Delith(i)a (JONES) DANIEL. She was single in the 1900 Wayne Co census. She could be the mother of some children who appear in the household in the census records, I don't know. Since she died in 1920, there should be a death certificate for her. That should tell something. Also, there might be an obit someplace. As for the Matthew DANIEL who died 72 yrs in 1880 .... the only Matthew I have in my files that could be him (and I don't have records) would be the s/o John DANIEL & Rebecca STEPHENS. They were in Pulaski Co, GA ... but could have gone to visit a cousin??? and died of malaria. No other clue presently. Good luck. I actually found a Mathew Daniels in the Camden County Mortality Schedule for 1880 that lists his death from Malarial Fever in November of that year, and says he is 72 years old. Is this one of OUR Mathews? There is a Delitha listed in the Sand Hill Cemetary in Brantley County, 1864-1920, with no other information on the net, and as far as I know there is no other Daniels near her, so first I wonder if it is one of "our" Delithas, meaning Mathew's wife and his daughter. I have found some entries that make me think that Delitha the daughter never married, but I don't know this for a fact. Any information you have about her would be appreciated. Thanks again, Nancy! Nancy, Was it you who sent me a copy of the Will of Mary Dean, giving her son's Drury and Edmond Land in Conecuh Co.? I have misplaced my Dean records and can't remember who sent it to me. "Survey of Coffee County, Georgia Cemeteries" by Jessie Paulk, list a Beatrice Harper born February 3, 1899 and died September 19, 1987, buried at New Hope Church Cemetery, Coffee County, Georgia. I saw your reply to my question, and I appreciate it. In looking at the obit for my ggm Jincy Alice Smith, who was married to Randolph S. Smith and is the mother of Nancy Alice Smith, who is the wife of Leonard Dalton Daniels, and one of our relatives, it says she is buried at "New Prospect Cemetary near Manor, Ga". Have you ever heard of this? I have looked and looked, and I can't find any mention online of a cemetary of this name in Ware County, Wayne County or Waynesville or Manor Pct, and unfortunately Brantley County's website is not yet as complete as some of the other counties on the net. So if anyone can tell me where to look next, I'll dance at your wedding....give me some time to learn to dance, though.... Thanks! Ransom
