Hello Lourice, Your transcription (thanks for your efforts) of the obituary below reports a death date for Martha (Hersey) Taylor (wife of John B. Taylor) to be in May 1954. My information from the cemetery would indicate Martha ("Mattie") died in October 1954. Is the newspaper obit actually dated May 27, 1954. I'd appreciate it, if you would double check the newspaper dates. Hi... I am researching George Washington Hersey, the son of Elkanah George Washington and Charlotte Surrency Hersey. He was born 17 Jun 1877 in Coffee CO, GA and died 26 Jun 1948 in Coffee Co, GA. He married Mollie Walker.... This is what I found in the 1900 census: Source: 1900 Coffee Co, Tanner Dist., GA Census.
