I am looking for ancestors of the above individual. He was born in Elbert Co or environs in 1812 to Stephen and Susannah Childs Carlton. He died in Paulding Co in 1895. His first wife was Elizabeth Rice, his second was Amanda Caldwell Johns Who is the mother of my g grandmother Nancy Josephine Carlton born in Cobb/Paulding in 1858, married Mark Calloway Sheffield of same area in 1878. Am also looking for the father of Mark Calloway Sheffield. It is assumed that he is Isham Sheffield Sr., buried in Old Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Paulding Co. Thanks, Glenn Hitchcock<[email protected]>
