I am seeking information on Benjamin Smith b. abt 1814 in SC. He was in Cherokee Co. on the 1850 census, and in Cobb Co. GA on the 1860 census. He was married to a Sarah-----, b abt 1817 in SC. Known Children are: Julia Ann Smith, b abt 1838, m. abt 1858 to Pinkney Fields. Margaret M. "Saleda" Smith, b. Nove 1840 SC. m. Vestal Mills Duffey Annie C. Smith b. abt 1841 Frances D. Smith b. abt 1845 William H. Smith b. abt 1846 N. Elmira Smith b. abt 1848. It appears that Benjamin and family left the area between 1860-70, as I can find no trace of him and children. Margaret M. Smith appears to be the only one who remained in GA after this time. Any help would be appreciated with this line. I realize there are thousands of Smiths, but maybe someone can help.
